The Youth & Family Guesthouses (Y&FGH) are the perfect choice no matter if you bike the entire ‘Tour de Mur’, a fantastic bike route taking you from the heart of the Alps to the hilly vineyards of Styria and the Slovenian border, or only some tour segments. We are happy to organize your overnight stays and to assist you in any way we can.
Y&FGH St. Michael - Y&FGH Murau:
This segment is ideal for families. You should not miss to visit the silbermine in Rammingstein and the wood museum in St. Ruprecht along the way. This segment is 48.5 km long and can easily be covered in a day.
Y&FGH Murau - Y&FGH Judenburg:
After a hearty breakfast you continue towards Judenburg. Stop for a visit in the fairy-tale wood in St. Georgen where Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and others will guide you through the forest. Also plan a city tour in Judenburg. Distance: 50 km
Y&FGH Judenburg - Y&FGH Bruck/Mur:
If you missed to visit Judenburg at your arrival the day before, definitely take the time for a relaxed stroll through this charming city. After your visit you start your bike tour along the Mur towards Bruck an der Mur and the nature park Weitental. Distance: 62km
Y&FGH Bruck/Mur - Y&FGH Graz:
Early birds will be compensated when taking a walk through the nature park Weitental. After your morning stroll and a good breakfast you start towards Graz. Plan at least a day or two to visit the capital of Styria and Europe’s cultural capital 2003 with its old town and modern architecture. Distance: 55 km
Y&FGH Graz - Y&FGH Gnas:
The last section of the 'Tour de Mur’ is 77 km long and can be covered in a day. Those who want to take it slower should plan one or two overnight stays in our new guesthouse in Gnas. The guesthouse is about 21 km from Mureck and offers great sporting facilties for everyone.
