The youth and family hostel Salzburg in Nonntal is one of Salzburg's most international meeting points for young people from all over the world. It is, thus, no wonder that 'Culture Lounge' - a unique project for young artists - started here. 

The Hip Hop-Team of the Streetdance Center Salzburg 'kicked off' the party.

The 'Culture Lounge' project was created to support young, international artists. The artists stay at the Youth & Family Hostel Salzburg for only 7 EUR per person and night (including breakfast) if they show their work or perform during their stay at the hostel or in Salzburg.  This offer is valid for all young artists coming from any artistic background such as music, painting, sculpture, clownery, pantomime, juggle, magic, literature, new medias,...

For Mag. Gabi Burgstaller, Vice Governor and head of the province's Youth Department, the youth & family hostel Salzburg is an important meeting point for young people with different backgrounds and a center of international understanding. "It's here that you can impart values to young people for a peaceful living together. In such a young atmosphere, as you can feel it here, it's possible to reach out to young people."
