Hiking on the Nockberge mountains
Over 200 kilometres of marked hiking trails (from the valley to mountain tops) lead you to wonderful viewpoints, natural monuments and old ruins.

The unmistakeable characteristics of the "Nocken" - crystalline rock varieties - form the unique scenery of these mountains and also provide Austria’s oldest mountain range with its name.

Enjoy the lakes
Swimming makes a lot of fun in crystal clear waters of up to 27°C temperature. Some of Carinthia's most beautiful lakes are just a 30 minutes drive away.

Ossiachersee, Wörthersee and Goggausee are awaiting water rats of every age.

Furthermore a lovely pond is located in Hochrindl. Beach volleyball and a playground for children can also be found there.

A wide network of bridle paths covering the region Hochrindl with the two villages Sirnitz and Deutsch Griffen and numerous stables in this area catering specially for riders make Carinthia a heaven for horse riding.

A unique winter experience
A wide variety of snow sport activities will make your winter holidays in the region Hochrindl a unique experience.

The slopes at an altitude of between 1,600 and 1,850 meters provide the best conditions for skiers and snowboarders alike. Cross-country trails, snow-swept winter hiking paths, toboggan runs and horse-drawn sleigh rides guarantee fun in the snow.

Schloss Albeck castle
The enchanting Schloss Albeck castle offers all kinds of cultural treats the whole year round: lectures and exhibitions as well as concerts every Sunday and the opportunity to sample the exquisite cuisine offered in the pleasant ambience of the nearby restaurant.

Tschrieter Mill
For centuries, mills had been vital in the farmers' lives. Each of the farmers had his own water mill to grind the corn.

You are welcome to visit the last remaining mill and gain an insight into the milling process. Follow the romantic trail to the ditch on the Widitschbach brook, some 300 metres southeast of a 1000-year old larch.

Baroque charnel house
Located northeast of church St. Nikolaus you can find a baroque charnel house on the local cemetary. It was built in the late 15th century and offers wall paintings and remains of statues.
